Sylvester Stallone recently shared the excruciating pain he experienced after a stunt mishap on set. Fourteen years after being injured in a scene with WWE star "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Stallone underwent his seventh surgery. Following the operation, he advised fellow actors against doing their own stunts and humorously suggested his next role could be as the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

In the new series The Family Stallone, Stallone recounted the incident where Austin body slammed him during filming of the first Expendables movie in 2010, resulting in a neck fracture. Reflecting on the stunt, Stallone admitted to taking unnecessary risks, saying, "I did stupid stuff. I was directing Expendables and like an idiot I'm doing take ten, take whatever, and I remember one slam and I could actually feel one 'bang'."

"Steve was aware of the toll that Expendables 1 took on his body. Since that film, he has never been the same physically. He has been warning others not to attempt their own stunts."

After a fight scene gone wrong, Sly had to undergo surgery to have a metal plate inserted into his neck. He has also needed spinal fusions and treatment for dislocated shoulders.

Jennifer Flavin, Sly's wife, shared her fears about her husband's surgeries and how he tries to downplay the seriousness of his injuries.

Jennifer revealed that Sly prefers to keep his multiple back surgeries private, which has been a difficult time for their family. Their 21-year-old daughter Scarlett also opened up about her father's ongoing battle with pain. She shared, "Throughout my entire childhood, he has been in pain. Despite his constant suffering, he always made an effort to be there for us, but I can't imagine living every moment in agony."

Sylvester Stallone recently praised the Philadelphia Flyers on Instagram for their imitation of his character Rocky's iconic training montage. He described the tribute as "great" and urged the team to "keep punching".

The team was spotted running from their bus in the same all-grey training gear worn by Rocky as he ascended the famous steps in Philadelphia towards the entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
