1037 Babies Live Under The Microscope For A Lifetime (The Dunedin Study) | Only Human

The Dunedin Study has followed the lives of 1037 babies born between 1 April 1972 and 31 March 1973. The aim of the study is to gain a detailed study of human health, development, and behavior. The Dunedin Study has identified a fundamental developmental mechanism that completely rewrites the nature versus nurture argument. It is a genetic switch that is thrown by life events -- nature loads the gun but nurture pulls the trigger. This episode tracks the study's hunt for this mechanism.
