Joe DiMeo was 22 when he got third-degree burns over 80% of his body in a car crash.
His fingertips were amputated, he lost his lips and eyelids.
After a chance meeting with a leading surgeon, he became the first person in the world to receive a full face and double hand transplant, which gave him a second chance at life.
Joe told us his amazing story, and explained how he’s adjusting to life after the surgeries.
