Critics are calling ‘Aquaman’ a blast to watch, and the movie’s cast seems to have had just as fun making it. Ahead of the movie’s release – and probable global box-office dominance – Rotten Tomatoes sat down with cast members Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Willem Dafoe, as well as director James Wan, to talk about shooting the DCEU flick, and find out how they conjured so much underwater magic. Momoa, who returns to the role of ‘Aquaman,’ discusses the power of having a brown superhero lead a franchise film – the same year that ‘Black Panther’ was released – while Wan recalls the first time he saw the actor in the original Aquaman suit: it was “an incredible moment.”
