In August 2019, Jason Bryant was set to be released from his prison sentence after Senate Bill 1437 passed in California, a law stating that a defendant who did not commit actual murder should not be charged with murder. Vanity Fair spoke with Jason in May 2020 after he had been released from prison for 40 days. He answers the exact same questions and looks back at his time capsuled answers from last year.
