Bridgerton’s CRAZIEST Historical Inaccuracies! | Hollywire
Jan 30 2021
Fans of Bridgerton can not stop pointing out some major historical inaccuracies on this hit Netflix show, here’s everything we know. In just its first four weeks on Netflix, Bridgerton is projected to be watched in more than 63 million households, which could make it the streaming service’s fifth biggest original series launch to date. But -- Bridgerton fans and history buffs alike have been noticing some major historical mistakes in this hit Netflix show -- and no, they’re not just talking about the classical rendition of Ariana Grande’s “thank you, next.” Bridgerton takes place in early nineteenth-century London and is full of balls and big bright poofy dresses. While most fans have been easily able to get swept up in the royal fantasy that is this show, others can’t help but notice some historical inconsistencies.
