The Truth About Ivanka Trump's Life In Miami
Mar 05 2021
It doesn't seem that Ivanka Trump misses living in Washington, D.C. one bit. She and her family have been staying in Miami since early 2021, renting a condo as they build a home on a waterfront lot on nearby Indian Creek Island, deemed the "Billionaire Bunker," according to the Daily Mail.
Ivanka, along with her husband Jared Kushner and the couple's three children, have been spotted out and about near their temporary home, the exclusive Arte Surfside condominium. The waterfront property is north of Miami Beach and is about a mile away from Indian Creek Village. According to Architectural Digest, each of the Arte Surfside's 16 residences has a private entry and access to luxury amenities like the heated pool and round-the-clock security.
So while her father, former President Donald Trump, tangles with the GOP, Ivanka and her family are seemingly enjoying the easy life in the Sunshine State. We suppose the politically charged atmosphere (and freezing winter temps) of D.C. isn't appealing to the former fashion designer at the moment.
So what exactly have Ivanka and her family been doing?
Ivanka Trump has reportedly been enjoying the Florida sun and temperate winter weather at the family's condo. According to the Daily Mail, she's been spotted out on the balcony quite a bit, enjoying the ocean view, sipping a hot drink, listening to her AirPods, and taking notes in a journal. The former first daughter has also been pictured cuddling with the family dog, Winter, on a chaise lounge and chatting with her son Joseph as he eats breakfast.
Outside of the condo, Trump and her three kids have been spotted on the go, jogging with Winter on a leash while the kids rode their bikes. Of course, the family's Secret Service detail was in tow as well. Another day, she was dressed in a tennis outfit as she took the children to the private Hebrew school they've been attending, and they were also seen stopping for smoothies one afternoon after school.
All in all, it appears Ivanka has been keeping a low profile in Miami. We'll see how long that lasts as rumors of her political ambitions in Florida continue to spread.
Before Donald Trump left the White House, Ivanka Trump was very active on social media, giving followers plenty of updates on both Twitter and Instagram. Since January 19, however, the day before President Joe Biden's inauguration, the one-time White House advisor has gone totally dark on her accounts, so you'll have to rely on paparazzi snaps and word-of-mouth to get any real information on what the Presidential daughter is up to in Miami.
According to early gossip, Ivanka may have already struck up a friendship with Something Navy clothier Arielle Charnas, who lives in the same building, although a spokesperson for the brand denied a relationship between the two in a statement to The Daily Beast.
One thing Ivanka Trump has made clear about her new Miami life is that it will not include coming for Marco Rubio's Senate seat in 2022, as has been rumored. A spokesman for the Republican lawmaker told The New York Times:
"Marco did speak with Ivanka a few weeks ago. Ivanka offered her support for Marco's re-election. They had a great talk."
Apparently, the former first daughter was never seriously considering a run to begin with.
In a statement to CBS News, Ivanka called Rubio a, quote, "good personal friend," and said he would continue to "drive meaningful progress on issues we both care deeply about."
So without a new political career in the works, it looks like the erstwhile businesswoman is most focused on settling into her new life with her family. There is also the possibility that Ivanka herself could be facing some legal issues, as investigations into her father, former President Donald Trump, appear to be gaining steam, per The New York Times. Unlike her brother Eric, Ivanka doesn't seem to have been questioned under oath about possible Trump Organization tax fraud — but has nevertheless said that any investigation of fraud is just, quote, "harassment pure and simple," per Vanity Fair. Right now, Ivanka seems more than happy to be away from Washington, D.C.
