Jewel Kilcher, aka folk-pop icon Jewel, has come a long way since her childhood days living in the Alaskan wilderness (or her brief time spent living in a van in the early-'90s, for that matter). Following her 1996 breakout hit "Who Will Save Your Soul," Jewel had a string of successful songs, but also branched out into acting, appearing in Ang Lee's western "Ride with the Devil" in 1999, and portraying June Carter Cash on Lifetime in 2013's "Ring of Fire." She also surprised fans in 2008 by putting out a country record, and has been involved with various philanthropic projects since 2006.
