Nike did something very bold by featuring Colin Kaepernick in their 30th Anniversary ad campaign. Colin Kaepernick was the first NFL player to kneel during the National Anthem out of protest, and it cost him his career. No team will sign him, but Nike doubled down which did not sit well with some of their customers. People were so upset, that they started cutting the swoosh out of their Nike socks. We even had some of those people in our audience.
