From Insecure to Empowered: My Journey to Embracing My Body on Camera
Feb 19 2024

A healthcare worker, whose explicit videos have been viewed over 454 million times, revealed that she used to struggle with body confidence. Serenity Cox, hailing from Toronto, Canada, was recently honored as Pornhub's Amateur Model of the Year.

Her journey into exploring her wild side began in her 30s when she decided to open up her marriage and document her sexual escapades on camera, all while maintaining her traditional healthcare career.

In an interview, when asked if she had any reservations about appearing nude on camera, she shared, "I believe that entering the adult industry in my mid-30s allowed me to have less fear."

"I have a supportive and loving partner, and I was already financially and professionally stable before entering the adult industry. Now, at 39, I have a greater sense of confidence and body positivity than when I was younger.

By openly showing my face and body in adult scenarios, I aim to convey the joy and fun I experience, hoping to inspire others to find happiness in their own sex lives. My younger self would be surprised to see me now, as I was not always confident or outgoing. However, I have learned to love myself fully and enjoy sharing that love with others."

Serenity's life has been transformed by the hundreds of millions of views her content receives, but she still continues to work her old job, albeit with reduced hours. She believes it is important for her identity, even though her provocative content earns her much more money.

Recently, Serenity was nominated for an AVN award, but she finds true happiness in experiencing these successes alongside her husband. She shared that the best part of her job is working with her husband, as they come up with ideas together, he films and edits, and they have a great time creating a business documenting their shared experiences.

Communicating with viewers through platforms like OnlyFans is one of the amazing aspects of my job. The positive and encouraging messages I receive daily remind me of the impact my content has and the importance of accurately portraying my passions and values.

I have been open with my supportive family about my profitable side hustle, aiming to dispel the misconception that women enter the sex industry out of desperation. Many, like myself, do it to promote sex positivity and sexual health in a shame-free manner.
