Colin, who was house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium at the time of the incident, had recently relocated to the city to pursue his passion for music. Despite the circumstances surrounding his death, Colin's impact on the music industry and his bandmates will always be remembered.

As one of the original members of Train, Charlie Colin played a pivotal role in shaping the band's sound and success. Alongside Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Scott Underwood, and Jimmy Stafford, Colin helped propel Train to stardom, earning two Grammy Awards in 2002 for their hit song "Drops of Jupiter."

Despite his departure from the band in 2003 due to personal struggles with substance abuse, Colin's talent and musical contributions continued to resonate with fans worldwide. His unique bass playing style and creative input were integral to Train's distinctive sound and success.
