BTS released a statement Monday night through the band’s social media accounts condemning the recent wave of anti-Asian violence happening across the U.S. The boyband also highlighted times where they’ve “faced discrimination as Asians,” as well as times where they “were mocked for the way they looked.” This is not the first time BTS has used their voice to support social issues, last year they supported the Black Lives Matter movement. They and their label, Big Hit Entertainment, donated $1 million to groups associated with Black Lives Matter.
