In the wake of ‘Extra’ correspondent Cheslie Kryst’s tragic suicide, her mother April Simpkins has revealed that her daughter was battling high-functioning depression. We talk to Dr. Christine Yu, chief medical officer of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, about what “high-functioning depression” means. Current Miss USA Elle Smith also speaks about how Cheslie inspired her, and how she hopes her friend will be remembered.
