A man was recently arrested for attempting to break into Will Smith's Los Angeles property, with reports confirming the incident.

The Malibu/Lost Hill Sheriff's Station spokesperson revealed that police received a call about a suspicious person on May 1 in the afternoon around 4:06 p.m. PT.

Initially reported near Smith's residence, the suspect was later found on the movie star's property, prompting intervention from Smith's security team.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Robert Ogden, was arrested for trespassing and booked on a misdemeanor charge.

Descriptions note Ogden as a 6-foot-tall, 218-pound black male with a bald head and brown eyes.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Ogden is no longer in custody, with a release date set for May 3.

Smith's representatives have been contacted for comment, while the actor has not addressed the incident on social media.

Previous home invasion incidents involving the Smith family, including a 2015 trespassing case, have been highlighted.

Los Angeles has seen a rise in home invasions targeting celebrities, with notable cases involving Valerie Bertinelli, John Mayer, and Farrah Aldjufrie.

Aldjufrie, a Netflix star and daughter of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards, was recently robbed of luxury items at her home in broad daylight.
