Concerns were raised about the safety of tanning beds, with Allure magazine urging Kardashian not to normalize their use. However, Kardashian explained that she uses tanning beds occasionally to help with her psoriasis, a skin condition that can benefit from sunlight exposure. It is important to note that while sunlight can improve psoriasis, indoor tanning beds can increase the risk of skin cancer, according to reputable sources such as the National Cancer Institute and U.S. Center for Disease and Control Prevention. The National Psoriasis Foundation also does not support the use of indoor tanning beds as a substitute for prescribed phototherapy under medical supervision.
