Nikki Glaser was taken aback by Tom Brady's unexpected jab at Kim Kardashian during his own roast event.
During an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," the comedian shared that she had assumed jokes about the reality star were off-limits in Sunday's Netflix special, until Brady made a joke about Kardashian's ex-husband Kanye West.
"[It was] one of the moments where I went, 'Oh, we can go there?'" Glaser, 39, recalled. "She's here, [but] she takes enough of a beating. She's not on the stage."
Despite her initial surprise, Glaser praised Brady's joke and admitted, "I didn't even know we could really go there."
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, made headlines for his joke about Kardashian and West's co-parenting dynamic during "The Roast of Tom Brady."
"I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight," Brady said. "Not because of this but because her kids are at home with their dad."
When the camera captured Kardashian's reaction, she gave a slight shake of the head while maintaining a tight smile.
Other comedians at the event also targeted Kardashian, with Tony Hinchcliffe comparing her to a "whale's vagina" and Kevin Hart making a controversial reference to her personal life.
Despite facing backlash and being booed when she took the stage, Kardashian brushed off the criticism and even joked about dating rumors involving Brady.
Brady's ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, who did not attend the event, reportedly felt "deeply disappointed" by the jokes made about her family.
Glaser revealed on "The Howard Stern Show" that she and other participants agreed not to involve the former couple's children in their sets, showing respect for their privacy.
"We all just agreed, 'Let's not throw the kids under the bus.' They didn't ask for that," Glaser said, highlighting the decision to keep the children out of the jokes.
