Notes of Change: Episode 2 – Fana Hughes x Jazzi McGilbert
Mar 10 2022
Black women deserve their flowers in real time. Through the lens of two inspiring Black women who are creatively leading their LA communities, we’ll meet artist and songwriter Fana Hues and Jazzi McGilbert, founder of the Queer Black woman owned bookstore Reparations Club. In the film, we take a dive into Fana’s connection to music and her commitment to Aim 4 The Heart, a community space that prioritizes education and emotional literacy. We’ll then journey to South Central to sit down with Jazzi McGilbert to contextualize the inspiring layers of Reparations Club and the inspiring layers of Black women.
