The Hills' Storylines That Turned Out To Be Totally Fake Part 2
May 10 2022
"The Hills" arguably crested what you might call a second wave of reality TV shows on MTV. After the runaway success of "The Real World" in the 1990s, which spawned its own set of spinoffs and copycats, "The Hills," itself a spinoff of "Laguna Beach," exemplified a more story-focused form of reality programming to the channel when it premiered in 2006.
With any reality TV show, viewers always have to wonder just how real what they're watching actually is. And, apparently, "The Hills" had plenty of examples of events and storylines that were staged to some degree. These are "The Hills" storylines that turned out to be totally fake, part two.
