Fallen Fruit began in Los Angeles began when artists David Allen Burns & Austin Young saw the fruit from so many untended fruit trees going to waste. What started as a mapping project became a full-blown artistic movement, looking at fruit as not just food, but as art that serves as an avenue through which to make everyone a communal, artistic collaborator and as a commentary on the food we waste every day.
