The coronation of King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla is one of the most anticipated events in 2023. But in 1981, then 33-year-old Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, was faced with the decision of choosing his queen. Buckingham Palace remained tight lipped about the young prince's marriage plans. Naturally, tabloids and royal watchers filled the void with speculation and keen interest on who he would choose to be by his side when he claims his birthright.
