Over the last decade, Fall Out Boy has fostered a legacy that’s become synonymous with the emo-pop scene of the early aughts. The band returned earlier this year with their seventh studio album ‘M A N I A,’ incorporating electronic sounds and lyrics filled with references to pop culture.

While Fall Out Boy has evolved through a slew of material, it’s impossible to forget where the fandom originally began. “Thnks fr th Mmrs” was one of their crossover hits, peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007.

Written by members Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz, the ‘Infinity On High’ track is also produced by R&B hitmaker Babyface–who worked on their song “I’m Like A Lawyer With The Way I’m Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You),” as well. “Thnks fr th Mmrs” revolves around themes of a broken relationship but it also contains critical commentary towards society’s obsession with fame.
